Before You Start
What You Will Need
Make sure you have these ready before initiating your transfer to avoid delays.
Domain Must Be Unlocked
Disable the registrar lock at your current provider before initiating the transfer.
Valid EPP / Auth Code
Obtain the authorisation code from your current registrar — it confirms you own the domain.
Domain Must Be 60+ Days Old
ICANN policy requires domains to be at least 60 days old since last registration or transfer.
Access to Admin Email
You must be able to receive email at the administrative contact address listed in WHOIS.
Domain Must Not Be Expired
Transfers are only possible on active, non-expired domains. Renew first if needed.
No Pending Disputes
Domains under a legal dispute, UDRP proceeding, or court order cannot be transferred.
How It Works
The Transfer Process
Transferring a domain is straightforward. Follow these six steps and your domain will be with us shortly.
Unlock Your Domain
Log in to your current registrar and disable the registrar lock (sometimes called "transfer lock" or "domain lock") on your domain. This is required before any transfer can begin.
Get Your EPP / Auth Code
Request the EPP code (also called Auth Code or Authorization Code) from your current registrar. This unique code authorises the transfer — have it ready for the checkout process.
Submit Your Transfer Request
Enter your domain name in the form above and proceed to checkout. You will be prompted to enter your EPP code and complete payment securely on the next step.
Approve the Transfer Email
A confirmation email is sent to the administrative contact email on your domain's WHOIS record. Click the approval link in that email to authorise the transfer.
Transfer Completes
Once approved, the transfer is processed. Your domain moves to Chajio Cloud and your registration period is extended by one year at no extra cost.
Manage Your Domain
Your domain is now fully managed from the Chajio Cloud dashboard. Update DNS records, configure WHOIS privacy, set up email forwarding, and handle renewals — all in one place.

How Long Does a Transfer Take?
Transfer times vary by TLD and are governed by ICANN and registry policies. Most transfers complete within a week.

You can speed up the transfer by approving the confirmation email as soon as it arrives. Transfers where the approval email is ignored may take the full registry-allowed period.
